This will allow students who have an electronic book device the option of using this technology for Accelerated Reader purposes during their set AR or library time. We are defining an electronic book as a Kindle, Nook, iPad, but may not be connected to a cell phone/iphone or ipod. If it goes well, we will continue with electronic books for the fourth nine weeks. This will only be for the 5th, 6th and 7th graders at this time.

Students will be made aware that when bringing their electronic book to school its use will fall under the school’s Technology Policy that was signed at the beginning of the year. The devise must be used for educational purposes and misuse will result in loss of privileges and/or discipline consequences. The students also need to understand that the school will not assume responsibility for the electronic book if it is damaged, lost, or stolen. It will be the responsibility of the student to keep the devise it in a safe and secure location. We encourage students to safe-label their device to avoid confusion.
Please note that regular check out procedures will take place through the library. Electronic books are not required but will simply be an alternative option for our students. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Sikes, Mrs. Dee, Mrs. Hinson or your student’s reading teacher.

Yearbook

Editor-Morgan Graham
Senior Editors-Allie Huett and Caitlin Goodson
Business Manager-April Garrett
Staff-Rebecca Brown, Meredith Caddell, Robbie Calk, Sarah-Hayden Hollis, Angie Lewis, and Deanna Smith.

Welcome to Mrs. Duncan's blog!
